Abstract We review the transport properties of strongly interacting quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created in heavy-ion collisions at ultrarelativistic energies, i.e. out-of equilibrium, and compare them to equilibrium properties. The description (non-perturbative) QGP is based on effective propagators couplings from Dynamical QuasiParticle Model (DQPM) that matched reproduce equation-of-state partonic system above deconfinement temperature T c lattice QCD. study coefficients such as ratio shear viscosity bulk over entropy density, diffusion coefficients, electric conductivity etc versus baryon chemical potential μ B . Based a microscopic we, furthermore, discuss which observables are sensitive formation its

Finite Temperature QCD Interfaces Out of Equilibrium
The properties of interfaces in non-equilibrium situations are studied by constructing a density matrix with a space-dependent temperature. The temperature gradient gives rise to new terms in the equation for the order parameter. Surface terms induced in effective actions by abrupt temperature changes provide a natural theoretical framework for understanding the occurence of both continuous and...
متن کاملLattice QCD at finite isospin chemical potential and temperature
We simulate lattice QCD at a finite chemical potential μI for isospin (I3) at zero and finite temperatures. At some μI = μc QCD has a second order transition with mean-field critical exponents to a state where (I3) is broken spontaneously by a charged pion condensate. Heating the system with μI > μc we find there is some temperature at which this condensate evaporates. This transition appears t...
متن کاملQuantum chaos and QCD at finite chemical potential
We investigate the distribution of the spacings of adjacent eigenvalues of the lattice Dirac operator. At zero chemical potential μ, the nearest-neighbor spacing distribution P (s) follows the Wigner surmise of random matrix theory both in the confinement and in the deconfinement phase. This is indicative of quantum chaos. At nonzero chemical potential, the eigenvalues of the Dirac operator bec...
متن کاملQuasiparticle Description of Hot QCD at Finite Quark Chemical Potential
We study the extension of a phenomenologically successful quasiparticle model that describes lattice results of the equation of state of the deconfined phase of QCD for Tc ≤ T ∼ < 4Tc, to finite quark chemical potential μ. The phase boundary line Tc(μ), the pressure difference ∆p(T, μ) = (p(T,μ)− p(T, μ = 0))/T 4 and the quark number density nq(T, μ)/T 3 are calculated and compared to recent la...
متن کاملThermodynamics of Large-Nf QCD at Finite Chemical Potential
We extend the previously obtained results for the thermodynamic potential of hot QCD in the limit of large number of fermions to non-vanishing chemical potential. We give exact results for the thermal pressure in the entire range of temperature and chemical potential for which the presence of a Landau pole is negligible numerically. In addition we compute linear and non-linear quark susceptibil...
